TOTE Maritime
The Maritime lines of business provide reliable, dedicated liner service to communities in farthest reaches of the American supply chain.
Operating in the Jones Act trade since 1975, the Maritime subsidiaries strategically and efficiently route cargo from anywhere in North America to Puerto Rico and Alaska. The services offered are critical to our remote areas of the United States. Flexible, efficient, twice-weekly service to their dedicated trade routes ensures reliable, consistent and cost-effective cargo transport for U.S. residents in the non-contiguous states.
As a leader in environmental responsibility, The TOTE Maritime subsidiaries announced in 2012 plans to convert its Maritime fleet to operate on liquefied natural gas (LNG). TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico christened the first LNG–powered container vessels in the world in 2015. The Alaska vessels completed the first engine conversion of both ORCA-Class vessels in 2023.
TOTE Maritime Alaska (TMAK) has been supporting the communities of Alaska since 1975. The services offered by TMAK are critical to its diverse, often remote, areas.
